- I have spent most of my working life as a currency trader in the City of London and developing currency trading room software. Since being made redundant in 2001 I have been an independent software consultant and had my own furniture making business. I currently own SBX Models, an Internet and Mail Order Scale Model business based in Ipswich. My current modelling takes in both Scale Modelling and Model Railways. With Scale Modelling, I switch easily between aircraft, armour and figure painting. I try not to get too deep into the topic and look to produce a clean and tidy model straight from the box. I am currently building an N Scale layout based on practice around 1960 - so GP9s etc. incorporating all the latest DCC option including accessory control and loco sound.
